I am writing in support of John McBride and his pursuit to run for Congress and whom I have personally known since 1989 as a freshman football player at the University of the Pacific. Under his watch, I gained the knowledge, work ethic and body transformation that helped me tremendously in the transition to be drafted into the NFL and play professional football for seven years after college.
Coach McBride has worn many hats and coached at multiple levels. He has obtained a high-level respect for his worth ethic and ability to work with people from many walks of life. He has positively impacted many young men and women, and his desire to do the same in the political arena should be commended.
